The AP never worked for me, perhaps consider installing IT-AUTOFLIGHT

It's still very broken however,

I would not recommend it at this time.

I have a lot of 787 wav files that I'd like to test out. Spent hours figuring out the most logical way to get them to work. I renamed the destination in the XML sound file to the new wav files I placed in the "sounds" folder in the FGdirectory file and it still didn't work, just silence..lol. Obviously I missed something. Would you like for me to post these wav files somewhere or some quick instructions to point me in the right direction?
Any help is appreciated.

Make sure the files are mono instead of stereo :)

How do I know they are and if not any way to convert them?

pop them into a sound editor like audacity and look at them...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I downloaded a converter "Musereo" from the internet, (Thank God I didn't get a virus..LOL), converted and plugged them in the script. WOW!!!! I'm so pumped I actually figured out something!!!
Now it sounds great!
Thanks wkitty and ausdkunst!

Now onto the 747-400 and 777...
