trouble with m-key

Postby Truckydude » Wed Nov 09, 2016 5:07 pm

Hi,

i'm new on this forum.
I recently discovered Flightgear.
Now, on the standard Cessna 172 model, the m-key seems to control the mixture button perfectly, but on most other models, it doesn't work.
How can i resolve this problem?

Planes are free to override key bindings to fullfill their needs. The Space Shuttle for instance has no mixture control, so the m-key switches from translational to rotational hand controller.

The key only performs as mixture control if the plane has mixture settings and if the plane didn't re-assign the key - so dependent on what plane you try, it may or may not. Usually the aircraft-specific help spells it out.

It really depends on the aircraft, if the aircraft you are interested in doesn't even have a mixture control (depending on type of engine), it doesn't make sense to make one... :D About what aircraft are you talking, for example?

You have to edit/do the key binding in the aircraft-set.xml file. It's not particularly hard to do as such.

But please, first tell us which aircraft it's about to be sure you are not trying to create a mixture lever for an aircraft not using mixture ;)
