The entire lighting of the aircraft will be reworked soon, especially in the VC. I have a pretty cool VC update coming soon, and the lighting should work better in there.

@GabrielYV
Note that the Logo light will be on by default until I make the overhead panel that has the logo light switch. I am focusing on core systems like electric, pneumatic, and so on first.

I have a question.

I released my MD-80/90 soundpack under the GPL v2.0 license. The MD-90 is licensed under the CC BY-NC-SA 3.0 license.

How does this work?
All my sound work can be found here: http://www.thejabberwocky.net/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=416

Wow! This is coming on amazingly! I'm seriously impressed by the audio - opening up to the TOGA setting really feels like I'm unleashing something... :D

Just one little thing I spotted - the reversers can be opened in midflight, at full throttle. Kinda scary, but very fun to try and recover from... :lol:

Excellent work, I think I'm getting a new favourite aircraft...

@agough
Glad your enjoying it!

As can you in the real aircraft. The MD-80 and MD-90 don't have a safegaurd to protect against opening in the air. I'll have to more research if the handles can open with the throttle advanced though...

It is not as bad, since the engines are in the rear, so they don't disrupt the airflow over the wing.

In other news:
Engine Panels and APpanel being redone by Chad and myself. Hope to have them out soon!
Also working on the thrust mode selector.
And more overhead panels.
Removed the EFD Upgraded MD-90 cockpit. I can't find any info about it, so I can't replicate it realistically. The MD-88 style cockpit is now the only one available. (No more Menue --> Toggle Retrofit) The MD-82 still has 2 types however, Analog full, and analog with PFD+ND.

in that video, is there something wrong with the craft's front gear? there's something hanging behind the wheels...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

It's a small gravel deflector I guess, it is used for rough or unpaved landing strips. This is one on a 737-200 (a bigger one) :

:mrgreen: I bumped into this website, seems you're not the first person to ask that! (see the second article)

Edit: thanks for that video, reminds me of those JATO experiments with making the C130 a STOL craft (just not so disastrous)!

Not there on my model yet...
If I can figure how to model it, it will be. I usually don't do exterior modelling.
