"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

No.
Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is almost finished - we can scale it down and change the textures to make a George Washington Bridge from it because the shape is similar.

Brooklyn Bridge,
Verrazano–Narrows Bridge
and George Washington Bridge are now all in terrasync.

OSM coastlines and OSM buildings, mixed with static models:

I will upload it soon as a custom scenery.

not as good as your islands ;-)
Thank you!

Maybe you can help with the shapefiles.
Harlem river is broken, Central park has no water and in front of battery park there are
some v0 triangles left on the water.
I guess I must use only OSM shapefiles, or change the order ?

I have to organize my terragear differently.
I cannot build NYC or OMDB anymore because I always overwrite the shapefiles with files for the current project :-(

Could you post a list of all shapefiles you use atm? Or do you have a repository with all development files?
Using only osm shapefiles probably won't work as only landmass is ready-to-use, all others usually need to be redrawed which takes quite some time.

no. it's a pitty but I cannot reproduce it anymore.
As I wrote before, I have to organize that differently in the future.

I like to keep stuff in the work directory, like v0 landclasses, which is ok for most parts of the worls,
because re-creating them every time takes a lot of computing time.

I did think/hope that when the osm coastline is my "Default" layer, other landclasses will only be visible on land, but not on water.

can you explain those 2 types of water in this picture left?
http://www.23hq.com/laserman/photo/24167157/original
the blue water is land in real life. but why does is show as (different) water ?
I guess it's the v0 river landclass that I did not remove from the work directory.

See, I do not want to remove v0 rivers from the work dir because I need it for other projects.
I will have to find a solution with symbolic links or overlay filesystem so I can enable and disable stuff.

If you open your shapefiles in QGIS or so (or use ALT-Click with the ufo), what is the landclass of the area of question?
