Flightgear 2016.3.0

Postby Clive2670 » Sun Aug 21, 2016 12:44 pm

Can anyone answer why that 2016.3.0 hasn't been released on the F/G website? As I was under the impression that it was due to be released on the 17th August, Yes I know you can download "nightly builds" but I can never seem to get these to download in full (always missing something) so tends to stop and "rollback" and not install. Can anyone answer please.....Thanks Clive

It has been slightly postponed to let some last-minute code changes and fixes in.

The 2016.3.0 version is the development version (note the zero at the end, this means it is not stable). The 3rd 2016 release will come out in about a month as 2013.3.1.

Thanks for the info on this "bugman" I always look forward to a new release.....I had sort of guessed that there were issues....And I don't know what made me put 2016.3.0!!!! Do you know if 2016.3.1 will have fixed the bug with (many) ILS problems of the 777 "veering" off the localiser just around touchdown, this doesn't affect all airports, I have just completed a full ILS autoland into runway 32 LEMG with no problems straight down the centre line. I have read that runways with an ILS either end present the veering off course issue because the plane "tries looking for" the ILS at the threshold that it has just crossed, as in real life there would be only one ILS operating due to the prevailing wind, am I correct? Cheers Clive

Thanks for the link elgaton, Oh well just have to wait a little longer then!!! But always worth getting spot on and running correctly (or as best as the team can) before releasing it for people!!!
