By "pushed to the repo," I guess I meant "I forgot to push it to the repo." Now it's up.

Okay. I'll pull and merge and test. Thanks.

BTW: I have an extremely rigorous testing scenario, if you need me to test anything, let me know.

PS: is dogsaysmoo and John Williams both you? I've seen commits from both...?

@tikibar
I am in the process of porting the changes from the MD-11 into my MD-10-Family project with Skyboat.

I unable to solve this error. I copied over all stuff in Systems and Nasal, making sure to check paths and so on.

Any ideas?

I just loaded up the MD-10 here and I don't get that error. Works fine for me. Is the repo at that link up to date?

I have not pushed it yet. I can if you want. Currently, you cannot autostart, since something in systems.nas is not working correctly. as not to f up that copy, I'll fork and push it to

*Please only use MD-10P and MD-10F models. The ACF is seperate*

I installed my autoflight in the MD-11 today. She flies really really nice. I will push it to a branch on my repo shortly, in case you want to take a look. Note that the new LNAV is still being tuned, so I'm using the old one for now. It works really well, and seems to follow the hdgs and flch well. I will in the next beta put the new LNAV.

Upcoming things I plan is autothr retard and disgn, autoland, and arming of autothr. I probably do this before I pushe.

I'll take another look at it when I have a chance. An error message with a line number is usually very helpful (as long as I can look at the file :) ).

On the MD-11, I'm working on getting the speed with pitch installed from the 757/767. There's going to be a lot of testing before I push it. Seems like you're doing a lot of reinventing the wheel with the AP. You're of course free to do that if you want, but I have put many many hours into the autoflight system, and it mostly works very well. I see you doing a lot of things that it already does (like a new LNAV system, arming the AT, etc.). The autoland needs a lot of work, and it needs a FADEC, especially to work with the speed-by-pitch, but it is very far along, and I hate to throw all that work away.

@tikibar

It is systems.nas line 1183. setprop() value is not string or number. I haven't pushed anything yet, debugging some stuff.
I'll do it before I go to bed tonight

The reason I'm using it is because The other AP keeps throwing me into the ground for some reason. It's just a concept, which is why I'm doing it on a separate branch. I plan to develop me AP to the level of the current one, or above.

The AP is very complex and you've done a good job! But I don't know why he goes into the ground?

You are welcome to use my FLCH controller, it works very well on 16+ aircrafts now. (I tested in the MD-11, it works lovely). I also limited clb thrust to 0.9 throttle for now, I plan to put it on a property thing, so climb limits can work.

I will install my flch system on the MD-11 with your AP, it's shouldn't be too hard, since all I need is to modify the enable prop, and add some nasal code to AFDS.nas.

Suggestion: Can you make it switch from clb thrust to alt hold 500ft below the target altitude? That is how the real one levels off. It always overruns right now. With FLCH, the climb rates/desc rates can be quite high at times. I don't understand some of that nasal code (but I'm learning!) so I'm not sure I know how to do that. Also, if it misses the altitude, it cannot go back into CLB THRUST. MD-11 stays in altitude capture from 500ft away from target, until another alt is set and the system is set into FLCH again. If it switches back into FLCH, then the throttle will do some funny things!

Best,
Josh

I set it up to switch from CLB THRUST to HOLD within 500 feet. I started testing it. There are a few kinks to iron out still, but it seems to be working okay so far.

Next time you have a crash problem, could you save the flight recorder tape and send it so I can check it out, see if I see any patterns?

Best,
John

Well that theres more time fixed, I'll install and test flch. Can you give me the line where that value changes in case it needs to be more?

How I save the tapes?

Thanks,
Josh

Josh,
It's not ready to go yet. There are a few things I still need to fix.

To save the tape: File>Save Flight Recorder Tape

John,
OK. Just let me know when it is, so I can install the simple FADEC and FLCH,

Thanks,

After FLCH, I plan to implement the gear tilt on touchdown, and then I am going to make the ENG, CONFIG, HYD, STATUS, MISC, and FUEL pages of the EAD2.

EDIT: I fixed the issue on the MD-10. Don't worry about it. :)
