using "set smooth" for the Objects would be sufficient.

I am not sure, I am kind of stuck. I will read a few wiki's on how to rotate it and add a texture, then finally animate it. This could take some time unless someone helps. The files are above for download.

the model need lots of work on smoothing, requires repositioning and is not the right dimensions.
Maybe you could look at those things and we will look at implementing some fdm to get it in.

Just to help a bit: Open your model in Blender, go into Edit Mode, press F9, go to the "Modifiers" panel, select all objects, click "Add Modifier", select "Subsurf". Increase Level and Render Level to 2-3 and click Apply.

Ha ha- funny! what's your intention for that? It just increases the polys, which affects the perfomance in AI and changes the form of the model as well negative!
"Set Smooth" is just right!

Hmm..if you have the correct wingsoan, you should have the others too!

Just select all (a-key) and scale it to the right dimensions.
