Hi flycanarias,
I assume you are using the Launcher.
Under the 'Go' menu in your finder, select 'Go to folder' In the next field type or cut and paste " ~/Library/Application Support/FlightGear/fgfs.log " (without the quote marks) then enter.
That should take you to the hidden folders. Later, when you start modelling or placing models you'll need to know how to get to that folder.
When you download a custom scenery you want to keep it in it's folder - do not separate it into bits. Place that folder in your 'FlightGear/data' folder. You can find your FlightGear/data folder by ctrl+click on the FlightGear folder in your applications folder/Contents/Resources/data.
Go to the 'Add-Ons' page of the Launcher and under the 'Additional scenery locations' field click on the '+'.
You will then get a drop-down which allows you to steer FlightGear to where you've put the scenery folder.
You can do this with every custom scenery you download. Similarly, you can use the field under that one to set a path to your 'aircraft' folder.
If in doubt, let us know.
Vic
