FlightGear Screenshot of June 2016

Postby dg-505 » Sat Jun 04, 2016 3:16 am

Hello guys,

this is the first anniversary of the revived Screenshot of the Month contest! :D

Participation Rules
1. 15 entries (because a poll can only have 15 options)
2. Only one entry per person to give everyone a fair chance of submitting a screenshot.
3. You may enter one extra for somebody else. This person of course can submit their own candidate.
4. Please convert your picture from png to jpg (plenty of converters online).
5. Has to be taken with FlightGear.
6. Every picture should have a caption.
7. Screenshots must not be post-processed except from cropping and/or resizing (but you may use the in-sim ALS filters).
8. You may change your entry as often as you want, until the voting starts.
9. You agree to license your screenshot under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license for publication by the FlightGear project.

Voting will start when 15 entries are reached or at the latest on June, 24 in a seperate topic.

Best regards
Jonathan S.

@Johan, just looks like clever use of lightmaps to me; do you think it is edited?

It's the out of focus background, I think.

Yes, that is it. The way it is very fuzzy far away but not close and some objects are really sharp make it look like some sharpening/unsharpening filter combination may have been applied.

Yeah,I agree. The terminal buildings have that kind of "emissive glow" you'll find in paintings of women. Rembrandt(as in the rendering engine) never does that.

I guess it is just a case of someone who forgot or did not think of the rules when posting. Could almost as well have been me. ;)

Hi biloute974,

although your screenshot looks really nice, we can't use it in the SOTM contest:
dg-505 wrote in Sat Jun 04, 2016 3:16 am:7. Screenshots must not be post-processed except from cropping and/or resizing (but you may use the in-sim ALS filters).

We want everyone to have the same chance of winning, indepentent from their individual art skills.

So, I ask you, to please re-submit the original screenshot (if it's still available), or to remove your current candidate.

Thanks
Jonathan
