Atlas like application on iOS

Atlas is an addon that lets FlightGear users display a real-time "moving-map" of their flight.

Answering my own question, I've found that replacing the line

<node>/instrumentation/airspeed-indicator/indicated-speed-kt</node>

with

<node>/velocities/airspeed-kt</node>

works, but presumably actual airspeed and indicated airspeed are not quite the same thing.

The difference between indicated airspeed, IAS, and true airspeed, TAS, vary a lot in particular with altitude, but also temperature.* And of course both of them usually differ from the ground speed, GS.

* This calculation is probably what pilot cadets/students most often use their flight computer (E-6B/CR disc/nav disc/whiz wheel) for next to wind calculations.
