Looks like the rudder is slightly right; try the 5 (center controls) key.

This happens when I engage A/P and/or Route Manager/Flight Director (on some other planes, doesn't work on this one) after I've centered the rudder.

Besides, I know on some planes the A/P has control of the rudder, so even if I could center it (which I can't) it'd override it.

And, if it's slightly to the right, then the airplane would be banking in that direction, not the opposite.

I use the rudder trim to counter the tendency to bank a little in level flight under autopilot. Works fine.

Not sure what key "rudder trim" is. I think I've adjusted it once on some plane, but that was using a control that was visible that I could click on with the mouse.

Also, anyone using route manager?

To Lydiot

You can asign 2 buttons on your joystick, one for rudder trim left and the other for rudder trim right.
I use always the route manager from the flightgear menue, without big problems, there are a few issues.

If you need help, fly online with me in Europe, mostly after 11.00 pm local time, mumble on.

Kind greetings, ph-cor, The Netherlands.

Thanks, I'll try to find you at some point. I can enter routes in the manager, just not activate it so that the plane follows.

Just to clarify though: The airplanes already have "rudder" defined as keys (zero & enter on numeric keypad I think), and that's NOT what you're talking about, correct?

Is it possible to solve the way-point transition? It's a bit wobbly and the aircraft is turning right (or left) without any apparent reason. Even when the fixes are in the line,it's turning.

Cheers

the craft generally turn to hit the exact location of the waypoint... their AP code needs to be loosened so that they are not so stringent on hitting the coordinates... i actually had one craft that went into huge circles trying to hit the exact coordinates... it never was able to turn sharply enough to do that and i finally had to resort to the "next waypoint" button...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
