Bombardier Q400 v1.0

Postby D-ECHO » Sat Apr 02, 2016 9:15 am

Hello everybody!
Here is the first version of the re-done Bombardier Q400.
Almost everything has been redone, especially the systems and the 3d-model (FDM only on minor parts). Taken from other aircraft are:
-CDU from CitationX (clm76)
-RMI from CitationX
-cockpit seat texture from CitationX
-HUD from Boeing 787-8
A major thanks goes to FlorianK who did a huge part of the model.
There are at the moment 2 liveries available, one blank white and one of Sata Air Acores (more are available but not yet ported to the new paintkit). If you want to have a livery done, it's probably best if you make it on your own (paintkit is available in aircraft folder). Manual Startup is possible and the aircraft has checklists available.
The cockpit is about 80-90% done though some panels are missing, mostly because of missing reference imagery (or laziness :)).
Here are some images:

and the exterior.

Work is still in progress.

Looks very cool so far! One of my favorite prop planes besides the DC-6,Connie and the Martin 404 (which would be a cool plane to make :P )

Normally you switch on the AP by pressing the AP btn and then select your modes via the other btns, don't know why it doesn't work.... :(

Hi everyone!

I've started working on some more liveries for this aircraft. Airberlin, Austrian, Luxair and Flybe are finished. If someone has a special request feel free to contact me!
I can also write some sentences for the aircraft help or create a pdf-Tutorial...

Have a nice long weekend!

@SP-KOK: Your wish is my command! :D

@D-ECHO: Does the .xcf files have to be included in the /Models/Liveries folder. They are very big (>10MB) and i don't want the aircraft to become as massive as the 777 or 707

Yeah!
@SP-KOK and everyone, i just uploaded the new EuroLOT-livery to the repository and i hope everyone has fun with it!

AirBaltic and one or two others are going to follow, but more than these would be too much.
Tomorrow another free day for me and bad weather... See what i can do :)

Have a good night!

DeltaSVEN

This great painting Eurolot :))))))) I like very much :)
Now even ask about the painting: Air Baltic, SAS, Oantas, Croatia, Alaska, Lufthansa Regional.
Thank you in advance.

I was always thinking of topping off the Q400, but I got other projects to worry about right now :)
Maybe later in a few months I might get around to that... @D-ECHO, whats your experience in aircraft making as I might be able to use it while getting the Q400 into a nice shape
Merlion's getting a new touch of paint on a few websites over the course of months, come check us out! http://flymerlion.org/
Merlion's new Hangar is going to be housing a few new projects in the future! http://hangar.flymerlion.org/
