Well, this does have more problem, it barely can keep up with thrust on climbing, I think the planes are to heavy. I need to check more things.

I have fixed all this, as well as refining the FDM more, it was a mix up of FDMs (my bad)

I have also fixed the autopilot engage, as per the real MD-11, the button enables the Autopilot and Autothrust on one click. I am Working to fix the Vertical Speed hold, as it takes a while to apply the selected setting.

Is there a reason you've removed the lift damping factor from the spoilers? They're not going to be worth much on landing without it.

Which values are that? I didn't touch the spoilers? Would you mind pasting the code here? When I made the FDM mixup, I reverted to the one prior to my mixup, and made a few adjustments to the flaps, and aelerons. I did not touch the spoilers.

This is what was there for spoilers in the FDM I put together:
Code: Select all
<spoiler start="0.03" end="0.45" lift="0.5" drag="1.6" />

Lift is set to 1.0 in yours.

On a different topic: I read somewhere else in a forum that you're working on the CDU to make it program the route manager and change the nav radios. Are you aware that it could already do both of those things?

Hmm, Thanks for catching that, I will fix. FIXED and PUSHED!

Yes I am aware, I am making mine based off that one with more capabilities, so it is more realistic. I have programmed a real MD-11 FMC before, and therefore, I am working to make it as realistic as possible. I'm not the best developer out there, but I do what I can.

Do you know why the MD-11F spoilers don't work? Is it the model? I can't find the issue.

Not sure about the spoilers on the F. I haven't flown either of the MD-11s in a while (been concentrating on the 757 and 767). I'll see what I can find in the next day or two.

OK. I have given them new sounds, that sounds alot better. The old ones from the DC-10, which had way older engines. Maybe you should update your link in your signiture, since the MD-11 has been majorly updated (not only by me) since that release.

Am I still the only one who is unable to fly this plane because of the flaps? Every time during climb, once I retract flaps to 0 degrees, the plane violently jolts to the right and I lose control and crash!

Hmm, that shouldn't be happening. Try to download the latest version here:

Rich107673 - I ran into that problem a lot when I was testing out the FDM. The solution was to review the flap retraction speeds. It turns out I was pulling them in too early and stalling it. Left a big pile of MD-11s off the end of KDEN-34R in the process. Don't retract flaps till you reach 220 kts.

Which is strange, the real speed is about 210 or 205.

fb237 is working on a JSBsim for the MD-11, useing real data. It is under heavy testing by our Beta testers.

Those speeds are wrong. As soon as we get the JSBsim FDM and systems ready, it should be working as good as able.
