Qt Launcher on Apple OS X

Postby Foxtrot15 » Sat Jan 23, 2016 11:00 am

Hi,
Not sure if it's the correct name, but the default launcher that came in the FG 2016.1.0 download has a bug:

When selecting other variants of aircrafts (e.g. Space Shuttle-orbit), "Run" is grayed out.

Here's when selecting the default variant:

if you haven't done so, you should report this on the bug tracker... i'm sure that i've mentioned it on the dev list but it may have been missed... that was several weeks ago... in any case, report this on the tracker (link at the top of the page) and i'll vote on it... make sure you post the link to the bug report back here ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

i up-voted the report and posted a comment with a link to my original report on the dev list from Nov 2015...

BTW: it is not limited to mac systems ;)

I still have the same problem with 2016.1.0. Is this problem ever going to get fixed?

It is now (there won't be a retro-fix for 2016.1 if you were wondering).

The problem was that the options worked fine for aircraft which you acquired using the launcher itself, but not for those which you added otherwise (e.g. manual download, repository checkout).

I haven't tried it (command-line user), but as far as I know the current devel version and the next version do fine.
