787-9 Project

Postby legoboyvdlp » Fri Nov 14, 2014 6:57 pm

Hi! I am starting a project to create a 787-900 based on the Omega Hangar 787 (stable_f).

I aim to change the stats, ie the fuel amount, etc and tune the FDM for the new plane.
I also need to change the model, but I do not have blender. Could someone extend the length to 206' and make any changes you think necessary to make the model more realistic?

I would need
1) Modeller
2) Piano Tool data

I already have some info on the 787-900 changes, the new MTW, fuel capacity, etc. I need aerodynamic information however.

Yours, legoboy

Blender is free software.

You can download it and try doing it yourself, if you don't mind. ;)

I'm afraid I cannot, for personal reasons.

Tell you what-- help me with the model and I'll sell the 787-9 for free to PIA. Otherwise it looks like this project is at a halt. I have the FDM changes started but the model needs changed.

Very good! Why don't you send it to me, and I'll take care of getting it into FG?

After massive troubles with my original model, I stole borrowed my good friend Maxim's model. Don't worry, 90% of the model credit goes to him. (The rest goes to me. Hey, exporting, importing, sizing, rotating, fitting, and then re-exporting is a lot of work, man!

Certainly -- but FGADDON as well. Well, if it is accepted. I'll give it a good licence once-over.
