They must have found a way to get internet into the building, or using a screenshot ;)

Every year they gather there and control VATSIM traffic from FSweekend. There is a place where they have their own setup and a handful of controllers.
VATSIM's protocol was designed to work even with dial-up connections, so I'm sure it was quite easy for them to set it up, maybe with a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot.

But it may be a little more challenging with FG multiplayer.
