My bad. I realize it happens in plane menu now. Being able to select the different features of the C172P instead of say choosing an amphibian set up in a launcher, very nice! This was truly what I was concerned with and it's cleverly handled, and so the 2d panel and canvas demo have reached the end of their inclusion I suppose this is okay too :)

Sorry for something about nothing.

Grouping of aircraft variants in launcher

I tried the 3.6RC launcher with the CRJ700 family. When I click through the variants the at some point the whole entry is just gone and won't appear again, so I wonder how the grouping of aircraft variants works?

@clrCoda: bug confirmed - it's specific to the 32-bit version. It seems that only the 64-bit version of FGRun/libintl.dll was rebuilt, so the 32-bit version of FGRun remained linked against the old one (with the old name); moreover, I've found some other missing dependencies as well. I'm adding some comments to ticket #1725 and will cross-post that report to the development mailing list. Thanks again for your help!

@elgaton

This is very good news. Thank you for taking the ball. Run! man run! :)

Proud to be of assistance in any small way. I really can't wait to try this when it's fixed. Having FGrun available will be handy.

Thank you so much!

Ticket #1725 updated and #1807 filed (I can't provide a patch as a library rebuild is needed). You're welcome!

is it me, or the speed up by pressing 'a' no longer work in the RC? just slow down works by 'shift+a', i just noticed this briefly but haven't tested again.

Speed up keys work for me. Still, I am really bugged by the 777 makeing my FG hang via MP. Any ideas on how to debug that?!?

Ragarding the libintl issue, I tried recompiling the library from scratch, but due to poor Windows support I was unable to do so (VS2010 gives many "syntax errors" which are probably incompatibilities). As I don't want to delay the release any further, I'm preparing and sending a quick fix (read: hack) to the -devel mailing list, hoping to fix the issue properly for the next FG release.

Sorry, I'm not in touch of this thread, because I'm living on Linux and git version, so maybe this is duplicate, but I tried to install 3.6RC on my work (FFS, so this is photo, not screen) and this is what I get - missing fonts in all dialogs and menus.

This is WIndows 7. Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00 GHz. 16 GB of RAM. Video - AMD Radeon R9 200 Series (infp from Windows device manager).

i was seeing similar menus until i was able to get my new video card and drivers loaded... i was seeing it only with 3.7 from git... i never saw it with 3.5 from git... i don't recall if i saw if in 3.6 from git since i only had that for a day or so before the version number was updated to 3.7... in my case, i was seeing unselected entries with no problem... selected entries were blank similar to the pic above...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Soitenan's issue doesn't seem to be a problem on Windows version 3.6rc on vista dual core 4gRam atiRadeonX300. All menus displaying correctly.

does this also affect the integrated AircraftCenter (it using Canvas, not PLIB/PUI) - or what about tooltips ?

In my case the tooltips are fine
In my case there is no way to enter a url for the Aircraft Center and James told me that this is intentional, shutting off the ability to actually use the Aircraft center, meaning the feature is unavailable for at least this release cycle.

it should still show up, regardless of it being functional or not - i.e. look like this:
