That does not solve the problem. Sorry for the late reply to your question.
But for some strange reason, the autopilot begins working again when I am near the final destination. Maybe it is solved by descending? I will need to check that and I will tell you whether descending (or ascending) fixes the autopilot problem.
I have been able to fly SIDs and STARs perfectly, but when I am flying between waypoints at cruise altitude, I often begin to head off course and I am forced to manually re-direct the aircraft. The LNAV becomes useless, except to keep the plane steady and on the same track as when you turn it on.
