Flightgear Integration with Actual HUD

Postby Raghav » Tue Jul 07, 2015 4:49 pm

Hi all,
I have Integrated Flight Gear with Actual HUD through some hardware and Software tweaking for creating a hardware in loop simulator.
Flight Gear Scenery is displayed on a screen in cockpit view (with only outside view) which is looked through actual HUD.
Now while viewing flightgear through HUD, there is problem of collimation.

The actual HUD symbology is displayed at infinity and when i see the flightgear scenery through HUD, the flight gear scenery and hud symbology appears to be disjointed.

Is there a way by which the flightgear scenery can also be displayed at infinity so that it appears jointed (integrated ) with actual HUD symbology?

Regards
Raghav

That would have to be achieved with hardware, I think. :?

Edit: And it is not easy at that. :-( Do a Google search for "DIY collimated display"
