Building FlightGear has problems

Postby doublegj526 » Sat Jun 27, 2015 1:05 am

I've been staring at this for a while, I've been following the instructions on the INSTALL file and I still keep getting this error. Can someone suggest advice?

Code: Select all
Johns-MacBook-Air-4:fgbuild johngee$ cmake ../'flightgear-3.4.0' -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release
-- System is: Darwin
-- Using explicit data directory for base package: /usr/local/lib/FlightGear
fatal: ambiguous argument 'HEAD': unknown revision or path not in the working tree.
Use '--' to separate paths from revisions, like this:
'git <command> [<revision>...] -- [<file>...]'
-- Git revision is HEAD

apparently you do have the FindBoost cmake module installed system-wide, yet you are getting "Unable to find the Boost header files".

so do you have Boost installed?

Bump please help! I've tried almost everything I know and nothing seems to be working! I even tried reinstalling git but that didn't work.

I saw these links:
viewtopic.php?f=20&t=13675
viewtopic.php?f=18&t=21458&start=30
and tried what they suggested but none of that helped in my case :\
Thanks, much appreciated!
