3.5 build from 24/06 crashes after changing aircraft paths

Postby legoboyvdlp » Fri Jun 26, 2015 6:51 pm

Hi there. I got the 24/06 build yesterday. I then decided to try out the new launcher. The only thing is, you have to put in all the other options for network, multiplay etc, manually. You need to add at least a gui for extra options that cant be set in game.

But whenever you change the paths in the launcher, for example, adding Aircraft-nonGPL, the launcher crashes, but saves your changes. It is in effect, a forced restart to use your changes.

I dont know if you got this bug before, but I use windows, and as abo e, the build from the 24th.
Yours,lego

Network, etc., can be set in-game via the Multiplayer menu. It may be more convenient to add the startup commands if you always use MP. I agree that launcher controls would be best.

Also, to spawn on a carrier you must add a command (and remember to delete it next time you wish to spawn elsewhere, as they are persistent prefs). In the old launcher, carriers could be selected from the airport list.

These aren't complaints, only observations. Overall, I'm delighted with 3.5.

i list all my options on the settings page in the "additional options" block... plus i also have them in my .fgfsrc file... the only ones i don't set are my craft and my airport...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

I'll have to try that, just having no planes and scenery in the configure planes and scenery box, and putting them in into the options...

the reason i don't specify my craft or airport in the options is because i select them in the aircraft and airport tabs of the --launcher ;)

The same thing happens with 3.6 nightly. So now, there are 3 versions and none of them stable.. .

What is going on?

Because what you said is true - none of them are stable :) Use 3.4 yet if you don't like it. I still use FGRUN
