New Aircraft

Is it going to be too much to ask for devs to make a P3 Orion? It's a plane that has been on my mind lately and I just wanted to know. If not its fine, I'll wait.

  1. Upload the image(s) to an image hosting site like imgur.
  2. When the upload is complete, the site will give you some links/code to insert the image - copy and paste the "BBCode" string in the post.

I'm making the Lockheed L-188 (viewtopic.php?f=4&t=24421). The P-3 Orion is a development from the L-188, so after the first release it is possible to use the 3d-model.

I have a freeware model by Kirk Olsson that could probably be released under a CC license. It still needs quite a bit of work.

In its current state it could very well be used for AI scenarios. ;)

Hint: Except for bad GA navigation and missing flight plans, it seems most interceptions are related to sea patrolling and intelligence gathering aircraft.

If you'd like the project, UsAir26, I can send it to you. It's unlikely I'll make much progress on it for at least a couple months.

Does Kirk still do models?

He did quite a few military planes for FS2004.
