Simply download the GitHub for Windows program. Then put your login for github in. Then clone the repo. Then do your changes and make a commit.

Create an account on the Wiki, then put the title of the page you want to create in the Search box and start the search. At the top of the search results, the wiki should tell you that no page with that exact name exists and give you a link to create it, click it to open the editor.

Do those git frontends for Windows also work with Gitlab? As announced today, Gitorious has been taken over by Gitlab and will shut down. It might be smart to wait a little until a decision has been made on the devel list about where the main FG repos will live in the future, and then set up the Hong Kong repo there, as well.

SVN?? that's would appear to be a step backwards... better to find another git host or set up an own git host... but that costs $$$ plus one has to maintain it... either way, i'm sure they're on top of it somehow ;)
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."

Those things are currently discussed heavily on fg-devel, please head on over there for details. Certainly they won't go from GIT to SVN for the source code. SVN might be used for (parts of) fg-data though.

Photos would be good, especially those which you can extract textures from. See

If you find some on the internet, make sure to obtain permission from the copyright holder.
