About
The British Aerospace Sea Harrier is a naval short take-off and vertical-landing/vertical take-off and landing jet fighter, reconnaissance and attack aircraft, a development of the Hawker Siddeley Harrier. It first entered service with the Royal Navy in April 1980 as the Sea Harrier FRS1 and became informally known as the "Shar". A second, updated version for the Royal Navy was made in 1993 as the Sea Harrier FA2, improving its air to air abilities and weapons capabilities, along with a more powerful engine; this version continued manufacture until 1998. The aircraft was withdrawn early from Royal Navy service in March 2006 and replaced in the short term by the Harrier GR9, now itself retired, although the intended long term replacement is Lockheed Martin's F-35 Lightning II.

Hello again,
After taking some time off from working on the Scripted AI Objects framework (see signature), I have prepared the 2.3.0 release for the Sea Harrier FA2. See first post for downloads. The changes include:
  • Updated limits based on Harrier GR.3 specs.
  • Red-out and black-out parameters added
  • New custom failures based on the new Failure Management framework.
  • Better built-in backwards compatibility.
  • A Canvas Mapstructure map integrated onto the Canvas Head-down display (HDD) as a mission computer.
  • TACAN is now fixed
  • Various minor improvements

If you have any feedback or errors, especially to do with the backwards-compatibility, please reply to this topic so that I can deal with them.

Hi Stuart,
That's the Canvas Head-Down Display (HDD). There has to be a separate display for the HDD because the screen on the left side of the cockpit (the proper model) isn't UV mapped, so I can't put the HDD on that. To hide the HDD, open the Options dialog (Harrier > Options) and uncheck Use Canvas HDD. That will hide the extra screen so that you can see the radar.

Hope that helps,
Red Leader

Is there any chance to join official (your) fork of Sea Harrier FA2 with FGUK version that uses my new 3D model?
