I have not done any AP programming myself yet since I have not reached that point with my project, but is there a way to make the AP behave less... abrupt? For instance when changing headings or engaging the AP the reactions are unrealistically quick and violent.

Thanks for this great little aircraft, a joy to fly and one of my absolute favourites for FG!

Ah, yeah, i know. Just forgot it. Thank you :)

But when i click on rhe "Download Textures" link, there appears a new tab of mediafire.com, which says that there was an error with the download:
Download Textures

With the older versions of the scenery it doesn't work either.
Maybe the download link is outdated, because it's pretty old already?

Thank you for your advice. I will take a look on it.

However, there are very few DHC6's in the real world which have Collins autopilot system, so I cannot find one to verify this issue. I will just tweak it and slow down its reaction a little based on guessing.

For a speed management as I'm used to, it must pass the value of zero wind, otherwise the speed remains on 44 kts whatever the wind direction.

Hah???? That's very weird. I will try to find out this problem. It is a bug. I have to compare your different builds (your build, my build, and dg-505 build...) now to find the resolution.

Oh.... I think it is about icing. Have you turned on the pitot heat? France is cold right now, so if you use real weather fetch, please turn the pitot heat on. I don't know how to write a realistic ice hazard at this moment; therefore, I simply lock it to 44knots when it is "iced".

Hello together,

because our DHC-6 got a larger overhaul, I updated the Wiki page of the Twin Otter.
Please proofread it for any spelling or other mistakes.
Enjoy reading :)

Cheers

Just for example, the Twin Otter has a constant-speed-prop. So an animation of the variable pitch would be nice.

Or something like such details on the transition of blades to the spinner.

Maybe I try working on it in the future.

Not sure if I understand correctly, but you mean to have the cutouts of which the prop blades go out? A texture could be enough, but even a 3D model should not be much work.

Hello everybody,

Not very important, but on the Wiki, the cockpit picture have not the last amelioration (Airtemp).

I will remove the autostart button on the overhead.

Nothing to see but in the pre-start tutorial, sounds are not audibles, there is rudder, ailerons... sounds who adds realism now.
See (listen) the beginning of the video in external view:

See the Douglas DC3-C47 of Paf'Team in my hangar, the propellers are animated, we can put the " flag " position.

Yeah, it sounds really realistic, but how do yo think is it possible to include these in the preflight-inspection tutorial? :)

I'll have a look at it and see, what we can do...

Hi tauchergreg,
could you please post a screenshot of the problem?
I think I know your problem, but I'm not sure if I'm right, so please make a screenshot
