While being (relatively) simple, this is an amazing home built cockpit. In the end of the video it is even mounted on a moving platform. 8)

An older tour of SpaceX (2011). Very interesting. Also Elon Musk seems very knowledgeable about a lot of aspects of his company and what it does. Kind of like Tony Stark, but without the obnoxiously large ego.

Elons Tour of SpaceX (22 min, though well worth it)

Bonus video: The future of Design (4 min)

I would argue though that doing hand gestures with arms reaching that far out in empty air is not very ergonomic and may/will cause muscle problems over time.

Maybe not that aviation related, but very much related to some efforts people are working on here on the forum. It is a Google Tech Talk on APIs by a Joshua Bloch. (It is long, 60 min, but probably worth the time if you are working on a framework or an API or anything that will be used or reused by other):

I learned two things: (1) "When in doubt, don't" about doing an all out in once implementation and (2) avoid Java like a plague; it looks really verbose.

After the Spitfire 75th anniversary memorial flight a few of us had a back in 2011, I get a bit sentimental seeing this. These guys are so much better at formation flying though, and landing...

Edit: By the way: Take note of the legwork on take off.

Yeah, I noticed that right away. I'm guessing there's more dynamics to "P" effect and having to compensate for the ground turbulence of taking off in the troubled wake of a Lancaster with a pair of lively Merlins under your control while getting up to take-off speed. You also noticed the gradual increase in power added?

St. Elmos Fire during air-to-air refueling. Much less dangerous than it looks. Had it been Hollywood though...

From the video description:

Once the boom touches the receptacle of the E-4 the charges are equalized and the static stops. What you really cannot see in this video is the semi-transparent shaft of purplish/pink electrons moving between the two aircraft, this is commonly known as St Elmos Fire.

Ha, way cool. I'd freak out a little to see that. But this would be the aviation equivalent of like refueling the car at the station, or working on the innards of a computer... just touch the car or metal casing for 3 seconds.. right?

Decompression and rapid decompression and the following hypoxia is really scary stuff:

This one fail to understand clear commands to put the mask on. :?

And a classic one:
