I have re-opened my blog, and the download link is there again.

Sorry for the inconveniences. I was not able to be in flightgear for a while.

Good aircraft.

Areas of improvement:

-The aircraft feels lightweight. It can land at 110-120kts with full flaps.
-The flaps are too powerful. Maybe that is why it feels lightweight. With full flaps, the plane struggles to descend.

I have begun to work with the weights. I will also put the middle gear in its place. Thank you all for the feedback!

Also, the A340-600HGW does not feel as big as it should feel because of its weight. For example, when you fly the A380 or 777-300, you can tell that you are flying a big jet because it needs more power to stay in the air.

I also tested the range of the aircraft by flying from YMML (Melbourne, Australia) to SAEZ (Buenos Aires, Argentina) and the aircraft had less than 1% fuel remaining.

I've flown the new version. These are my observations:

-The aircraft feels heavier and feels like a large jet. Take off was at 140-150kts

-The engines are very powerful and the aircraft can achieve a high climb rate. I maintained 1800 from sea level to cruise altitude which was 38000 feet. It might be overpowered because the A340-600 supposedly has a low climb rate. But that is from what I've read, I have never flown inside an A340 before.

-In the new version, the aircraft will flip up when on a high flap setting. This happened during descent. The aircraft suddenly flipped up to 90 degrees angle of attack, started rolling like a ferris wheel and I could not control it. This meant that I did not land. This problem never happened in the older version.

I will give more feedback later.

Thank you very much. I am working in these problems. Next version, soon, will have the flaps thing solved. The plane wont roll over....

What I am not so sure about is about your report on fuel efficiency. I have been using the plane in big distances, and I think that what may be happening is that you flew too high with the plane completely loaded. I think you should test something like 33000 feet and 0,83 mach, to reduce consumption. Was the plane full with passengers and baggage? Usually, the official numbers are calculated with the plane empty... I will keep testing this nevertheless.

A new version is ready to download! The weight balance is ok now.

I just did YMML-SAEZ at 33000 ft and 0.83 mach, with the plane full, and I ended with 19,7% of the fule capacity.

I've flown it again, the rolling over maybe something to do with the autopilot. This did not happen in version 22. I'll test it again later to see whether I can confirm this.

Yes, completely full and at a very high speed and altitude.

Thank you for the feed back. Next version will be even more secure about the rolling. But for now it should work quite properly.

I will be testing the range, but probably flying very high and quickly with the plain full is the main reason for the high consumption.

Hi,
@ANDINO I´M SORRY…..
I was the fool who declared the center Main-wheel to be too far behind…
Now i found another picture

So you see, everything was alright …
The only thing that needed improvements was the vertical steering of the Wheels itself. The middle ones must steer in the other direction (front wheels down) than the outer ones…

Next time I´ll do better research ;-)

I think now they are ok. They were TOO far behind, and now are more balanced, but always a bit behind, I think

Thank you!

There is a new version for download at the webpage. This new version has two improvements:

- The autopilot (route manager) does not get stuck and the end of the route when it is not disabled previously.

- FDM: More realistic flaps.
