Unrelated to FG but I once went to an unfamiliar town for a business trip with colleagues and out of the hotel our group went out on a drive around in an unfamiliar car (rental) , one of us turned on the radio and the Blue Brothers started timed perfectly. So we cruised to town to the Blue Brothers theme to find a place for dinner. It would have been an otherwise remarkable trip without the music (small town with nothing of interest).

Otherwise I never tried flying with music on (never thought about it, and my radio is a billion miles away from my computer), but I should try it soon.

Oh yes, it makes flying much more fun, especially when the music just so happens to "fit" whatever you're doing (rock n roll while navigating canyons, smooth jazz while waiting at a busy airport, some opera comes on just before you run into a mountain.... you get the idea).

Metal, try to load a 747, then you start from LOWI, play flight of the Valkyries and try to fly through the vally up. If you make it, you're settled for a whole week ;-)

Arizona's Unofficial State Anthem:

That's a fairly accurate song, but they didn't take into account all the nice spots in Arizona. You usually have to go way the hell up into the mountains to find them, though. Take this spot for example (not my pic but I've been in this same spot):

Image

Way off in the distance on the right central part of the picture you can barely see a long ridgeline. That's the north rim of the Grand Canyon, 90 miles away.

P.S. JWOCKY, I think I'm gonna try that 747 stunt tonight, sounds fun!

Every once in a while, we all need to climb in an A-10, fly to KSFO and blast the living crap out of everything we see! Here's a song for just such an occasion...

Hahaha, throw some Powerwolf in and there might be an explosion or something. :)

Here's an interesting video I found:

That seems like a really difficult way to learn the digits of pi, even for a skilled piano player. Alternatively, you could listen to the following song over and over until it gets stuck in your head:

Two wrongs don't make a right, but two Wrights make an airplane.
