I would like to ask you to be honest to everyone and say that your airline has a bunch of pilots already,and that you came here to take on even more.

I 'm struggling and banging my head for over a year,trying to attract at least someone ,SOMEONE,into my VA,but thanks to VAs like this,VAs like mine are forced to be empty ,and die off.

What do you want more? .... that's all I want to ask you.

@ja sam niko,

I'm sure people will respect your VA more if you sounded less... desperate.

For example, I did try to join your VA about a year ago. We've had several good conversations over the MP chat. But you deleted your account, and I thought UVA closed. This is how you could lose potential pilots.

Try to use a more refined tone when you're hiring. And remember that your VA was established quite a while back. Use that as a plus point. People want to join a VA that has been running for a while.

@ Rick Ace

So far,I tried everything I can remember to attract more pilots,all and everything. As long as Merlion,Global and BRT are active,there will be no space (read pilots) for anyone else.

So I think I just can't be anything else than desperate. :?

And yeah ,I remember that time very well.

Cheers

@ Ja Sam Niko
I think you don't have a good reputation in the FG community so no one trusts you .
You should join more events and build you reputation

@Ja Sam Niko,
Out of the three VAs you've listed, only GVA is fully functional in my opinion.

You just need more confidence. :P

And I'm glad you remember me. :)

How will joining events help his reputation? :?

He has been working on aircraft development, and had been dedicated to this VA for over a year. He has a good reputation already.

Perhaps http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Banja_Luka ... Statistics will explain why there's not much activity... try moving your main hub to Sarajevo.

As a plus, it's been, to some degree, modeled in FlightGear by myself. May not be the most accurate, and it may not work anymore, but it's worth a shot.

Remember its all under GNU GPL, so if you want to make it better, change stuff etc. you're fully welcome too.

Cheers,
Sam.

Just my two cents.

I disagree Figaro.

Flightgear airport statistics will be different than real life flying statistics. For example, KSFO is clearly the most active location. Why? All the FG software versions start there, and there is almost always someone flying there.

The domestic UK is popular over the weekends. Why? FGUK has made it active.

Flightgear doesn't have to worry about population statistics, fuel costs, airport taxes, and other real life matters. As a result, you can never tell which new airport will become popular. I remember that Bishop, California got a boast when Calico started ATCing there.

I think UVA should stay dedicated to its current region, since that is what it's known for. :)

I know those factors don't really affect anything, but IMHO it makes the experience of running a Virtual Airline all the more fun. I thought I took it overboard (until I saw some FSX/FS9/P3D based Virtual Airlines O.O)

It was a suggestion, my two cents, my opinion. David can do with it what he pleases.

Guys,can we move this discussion to some neutral place (topic) where we will not usurp the space of this airline?

I really do apologize to the MLD Virtual Airlines team and I will move this discussion to some other place right now.

Welcome to FlightGear and I wish you a safe skies and a lot of activity.

That was my point. :P Let's not get carried away, since Flightgear VAs seem to have to function differently than MSFS or XP sims.

I understand your suggestion. It's might be a good idea to fly there, but I was just advising him not to move his location.

@ja sam niko,

This whole conversation started because you "banged your head on the wall". :P
