I finally made up my mind and added MD-11F as a separated plane. + some "cool" door animations ;)

Is there something weird in this plane's engine configuration?

I do like these rembrandt lights ;) Not uploaded to git, though. I'll try to finish overhead panel before pushing.

Hi jormapaappa1235,
about a week ago I tested the MD-11 on FG,
but when the program finished to load, the aircraft was invisible! :?
I saw nothing about the aircraft: no cockpit, no exterior, nothing! :( WHat could be the problem?
Greetings, Maverick

PS: I also tried to change livery, nothing to do.

That's weird. Did you get any error messages on console?

Is anybody else suffering from this weird issue?

I didn't remember what the console said, I will reply more specifically this week-end, when I can use FG.
(Today I'm with Windows Vista which has only OR, not with WIndows 7, which has FG, OR and FGCom  )

Oh, btw, download and install FG 3.0 if you are still using 2.10. The old version may cause problems

Do you rename the extracted folder MD-11 ? Cause for me by default it was mcdonnell_md11 or something like that.
In this case, the console will show "Can't find and open file: MD-11/MD-11-set.xml " (or different file)
Hope this can help
Also, can't wait to see the rembrandt progress !
John.

Feel free to make as many liveries as you want, but could you spend some time to make some jagged edges smoother? For example the Alitalia livery: the green lines aren't very smooth and they are at different heights on left and right.

Here's a new paintkit which is a bit easier to use

If I may give an answer to your question John,

Just search an existing and previous operators of the aircraft.

You can see it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_McDonnell_Douglas_MD-11_operators

I would like to see JAL, SwissAir and Lufthansa Cargo

Cheers

Thank you ja sam, I was looking for liveries people want first. I'll see for the Swiss, JAL and Lufthansa cargo (since I know how to do it ;)
Jormappa, do you mean the winglets ? I fact the Alitalia livery was, I think, the harder I made for the moment. With the older paintkit, we didn't really know the limits, rotation... I was a bit complex. I'll try this one, hope that's better ! (I'm not on the PC)

Wow, such buttons, huge work, much text... And that was the first part of OH panel... :/ Pushed to git.

John, here's an example what I am meaning:

Hope the image host works... About the winglets, that's my fault. I had forgotten them. I re-uploaded the paintkit with a perfect uv-map, link is the same.

Ok, thank you for that. To be honest, I didn't even see it.
Corrected.
Also thank you for the new paintkit, it's really more simple than before. So I aligned the winglets :D

Open cockpit.ac with notepad and search for a line "
MATERIAL "Material.002" rgb 0.0134 0.0124 0.0133 amb 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 emis 0.0000 0.0000 0.0000 spec 1.0000 1.0000 1.0000 shi 50 trans 0.0000
" and replace it with "MATERIAL "Material.002" rgb 0 0 0 amb 0.2 0.2 0.2 emis 0 0 0 spec 1.0 1.0 1.0 shi 50 trans 0"
This line is from a file made by ac3d.

Then the black should work. Some explanation why I can not fix it completely yet: Blender doesn't export black material correctly. These objects which look odd have no textures at all, only material. I'm exporting my cockpit.acs from my .blend file and this is why I can't fix the color until I am able to edit the ac file itself.
I hope you understood my explanation even a little ;)

@jormapaappa1235 -
I just sent you a PM. The general idea of it: I can start working on putting together a fuel system. With the new OH panel (which is looking great, BTW) I can connect it to the pump and x-feed switches.
