SKBO Development WED, Qgis

Postby G-OJIB » Tue Jan 14, 2014 7:13 pm

Hello everyone. I am developing an airport with taxiways and terrain improvements. I have finished its taxiways and I am adding all the buildings progressively. So I want you see the development until now, using WED.

I will finish this in February 2014 :) I hope you like my progress.

Only if you use free sources, including textures! This means GPL textures, not only "no-cost" textures.

Buildings: scenery database: http://scenemodels.flightgear.org/ ("contribute" at the top bar)
Airport layout: Robin http://data.x-plane.com/contact.html

(If you need more information and prefer Spanish, I can explain you how to do this in the thread you submitted to ViveFG! :) )

You can also read this: viewtopic.php?f=5&t=15468
Using scenemodels makes sure your hard work will be kept throughout FG long life and doesn't get lost.
Moreover, this makes the scenery available nearly immediately for all FG users using Terrasync. etc.
It takes a bit of time to submit 3D models, but once you're done I can tell you you'll be happy ;-)
Concerning the layout, once you have it taken into account by Robin, you have to wait for a new FG scenery to be generated, which is now a *pretty* easy task.

The official spanish thread is here: http://flightgear.creatuforo.com/aeropu ... a2969.html
but the link to mediafire has expired. I've made a PM to the author.
PS: I've found a new one: http://www.mediafire.com/download/jifn1 ... -Model.rar
This airport has unknown license because nobody can contact with the author, but i can try to do a GPLed version and upload it to TerraSync
