EHAM Extravaganza Fly In Event.

Postby User15443 » Mon Nov 18, 2013 9:04 pm

Hey guys. Just here to announce an event. Before I explain let me make clear that the date is NOT confirmed yet. If you apply and you cannot make the date all you have to do is email me and tell me you won't be there.
Basically we need the following things for the event:
Pilots
ATCs
Followme Drivers
Cameramen.
All of which can be applied for on the same page. Most of the information is on the page anyway. Nearer the event time I will email you with further information.
If you require training for this event Pilot or ATC I suggest you contact vATO.
The link to apply is :
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1rh3J-l ... Y/viewform

Final note: We will try to be as realistic/professional as possible.
Happy Flying!
-Ross and BIZX. :D

Hi Ross

have signed in for this
But it will depend on the date
I am at home now (for 6 weeks) so have a better internet connection

I think your application form will frighten a lot of people away as it seems to imply only experienced people are welcome
to have a more professional type of experience you will need airports in most of that part of europe with radar coverage so as to hand off
plus tons of flights

anyway its early days yet have to see the responce you get

Hey Mike.
Sorry for the late reply. Well we are going to make it a weekly/fortnightly event, but we have a problem with Fgcom frequency's here at Schiphol. No one who applied isn't obliged to come over every week/fortnight but just to say they are interested. I am going to speak to the VA's , Merlion , BRT and some others about more routes from Schiphol to get more traffic. We aren't sure if we are going to use Teamspeak/Mumble or Fgcom for communications.
If anyone feels this is only for professional pilots/ATC's then don't be alarmed. We only expect our ATC's to be very professional , but pilots only need to be able to communicate basic phraseology. If you aren't sure of this either Myself or vATO are able to train you in this.

Well almost 280 views and almost no responses after posting this.
Okay then, just to let you know we will be doing this on a weekly basis at EHAM,Schiphol from around 1800UTC onwards.
By applying as a pilot you are letting us know you will be coming.
By applying as an ATC you are letting us know you will ATC and you WILL be required to pass a test/do training.
Questions appreciated.
Thanks
Ross

Hi

Mumble is not an option
the voice server/client for FG is FGCOM
this is intergrated into FG and should be supported

ATS without voice is not on
FGcom works so use it

I would but, I can't. We had an event on saturday and had 4 ATC's:
APP , DEL, TWR, CTR. We only have one frequency , do you expect us to all be on the one frequency?

Hi Ross

You know very well that if you have several ops you can set the freq manual
so then you have one each

FCom is intergrated into FG and it works
people spent time and effort to get it available
you should support them by using it

Your not understanding. There is only one frequency at Schiphol, manually defined or built in. I will retry this and see how it gets on, but if not, Teamspeak will be number one option with mumble swiftly following.

Hi Ross

All you need to do is right click in the freq box
the freq there will go and leave a black box
just type in the freq you require and press enter
you then have that freq available
you have 2 boxes so you can set 2 freq manual
all your ops do this and you can have as many freq as you want
then you just publish the freq to use to the aircraft
like this you can set 1freq for all your atc operaters the same for comunication between yourselfes
and set 1 each for comunicating with the aircraft

try it,,,, it works i assure you
i have set OP radar on some airports that have no freq set in OR and i do this
what ever freq you set on com 1 will be transmitted in your atis info transmissions automaticly

Yes but, even manually assigned they aren't THERE in the frequencys. 121.7/8 at Schiphol are frequencys for airports 70nm away in fg.
