Mpservers problem

Postby Mr.Snappy » Sat Jun 29, 2013 10:41 pm

For some reason, when I opened the mpmap today, no pilots were found. Connecting to the servers (all of them were tried) showed no pilots were connected, same story with OpenRadar. Are there any problems with the mpservers or is it something else. I have tried repeatedly, my internet connection seems to be absolutely fine.

Having the same problem.... Nothing wrong on my end. I think it has something to do with the fact that mpserver01.flightgear.org is down. This might be making it so the mpmaps are not working. I did run into a couple of people on mpserver05.flightgear.org, you can check the status of the other servers here http://mpserver16.flightgear.org/

Because mpserver01 is down, all the mpservers are not connected to each other any more.

On http://mpmap02.flightgear.org/ in the menu at the bottom you can select other servers,
and then see the pilots on that server.
Some people moved to mpserver08 but that is not tracked.
I suggest as long as the servers are not connected to each other,
we meet at mpserver12 because it has a nice tracker.

It looks like many pilots don't go online at all now because mpserver01 is down.
Only 13 pilots - that is not much for a weekend.

Funny that having just that one server down is causing the MP pilots count to go from 60~70's down to about 10. :? Who is in charge of maintaining the server mp 01? Is he unavailable or on vacation?

Maybe the server was down for maintenance... Either way it is back up, and working perfect.
