The Airports Cache Path is not on C drive

Postby neilb » Mon Apr 01, 2013 10:53 am

Hi to All,

C:/Documents and Settings/Neil/Application Data/flightgear.org/fgrun/airports.txt

The Airports Cache Path is supplied on installation, with a folder after the user called Application Data.
However when I follow that path, there is no folder there. I am turning over all rocks and any discrepancy
that appears to a new user, because as of yet I don’t have any scenery.

Question - Is it important enough to need chasing?

thanks Neil

Hi Neil,

Windows hides this directory by default (to prevent people from editing it, as in general you shouldn't), so don't worry, the file will be there.

How to unhide this (and other) hidden directories and files is explained at http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/wind ... dden-files

Cheers,
Gijs

Thanks for the reply,
I am way outside my comfort zone / knowledge, and need to investigate any perceived discrepancies.
Thanks Windows for hiding things !

I accept the complexity and steepness of the learning curve, nothing is insignificant however small, hence my question.

Thanks
Neil
