Can not see other AI's liveries on Multiplayer

Postby muadib25 » Sun May 13, 2012 1:02 am

Hello everyone!

I just installed Flightgear 2.6.0.1 on a Windows machine. Everything works on Multiplayer except when others change Livery on their aircraft, I cannot see the change...

I also checked this locally running another FG instance at my Linux box.
The Linux instance could 'see' the livery changes I was making on the Windows aircraft, but not the opposite...

Any clues as to where I should look for solving this?

Thank you very much!

Can I assume you have the same version on the Linux box and that the aircraft in question are the same version on both boxes?

Hmm.. nope...

The Windows version is v2.6.0.1
The Linux version is yesterday's Git
The aircraft is C172p

I also did a local test, as suggested on the http://wiki.flightgear.org/Livery_over_MP#Testing page:
On the Linux box I loaded 2 local instances,
one with:
Code: Select all
fgfs --multiplay=out,10,localhost,5702 --multiplay=in,10,localhost,5701

and one with:
Code: Select all
fgfs --multiplay=out,10,localhost,5701 --multiplay=in,10,localhost,5702

and both instances could watch the other aircraft change liveries...

Could this only be a version issue? If so then there is no problem, apart from my silliness (baps head on wall!)
