Project | Tupolev Tu-134

Postby cossack90 » Sun Apr 01, 2012 8:08 pm

Hi!

I was wondering if some one want to make a flyable Tupolev Tu-134?
I love this plane - but I am not so good in modeling.

We (I and Heljiah) are working on the plane, so the development is back on track.

The aircraft will be available in

GIT https://gitorious.org/fg

Download SOON

Big thanks to Helijah!!! Please support him, for is huge contribution (+200 aircraft) to the FlighGear project.

I can help you with modelling and xml files if you decide to start the project :) .
Just send me a PM to let me know your plans.

Hello specter,

I can't download the aircraft from the link that you posted, all the download links are broken. Is there any alternative download link?

No download. GIT only. And WIP only. Poor dynamic, not good cockpit. For developing only.

The sf.net GIT repo link:
http://tupolev-154.git.sourceforge.net/ ... ;a=summary

NOTE: THIS IS THE WRONG LINK!!!!
The project website sends everyone for a strange reason to:
http://tupolev-154.git.sourceforge.net/ ... ;a=summary
but that's is a dead end.

After some trying I did found a way - change the second name in the link from "tupolev-154" to "tupolev-134"

UPDATE:

We also will try add the russian voices from the Tu-154b to our project.

I was thinking to make the callsign appear on the plane and in the cockpit - like on the Cessna Citation X - maybe anyone knows how we can add that to the plane?

Cheers,
Cossack

The strange SF staff make strange rename on my after-beer project. Correct repository name is http://tupolev-134.git.sourceforge.net/ ... 154;a=tree (dont ask me, why)

Hi Folks!

We have start working on a new fdm: YAsim. This will be easier to customize than the old JSBSim.

I will take some time, because we are translate it for Russian books

I think you're confused. YASim, whilst easier, is considered less powerful and outdate, where as JSBSim is almost continuously maintained, and is considered more powerful, even though it is more complicated.

I think you mean to say JSBSim is more complex, with more features. Will you be kind enuff to fill us in on some of its noteworthy complexities and features which are comparable to YASIM. I am curious and wish to understand the key similarities and differences between these two systems. 'Rumour has it' that JSBSim-based models can be developed to react to environmental forces [rumours ...] :)

I think you'll find the JSBSim reference manual, http://www.jsbsim.org/JSBSimReferenceManual.pdf, useful.

He probably said that because I told him that I don't know much about JSB, but I agree with y'all, JSB is still under development but YA is easier to make.
There is a chance that we might release 2 variants one in JSB and the other in YA.

Surely you have the ability to read up on both of these flight models at the FlightGear Wiki. ;)
