Done :D Thanks!

Found one issue though: the thumbnail is used in some of the launchers and on the download page. Resolution should be 171*128 px. So I've resized/cropped it slightly before commiting.

This looks great, but...
The same old problem has cropped up again. In the .ac file the path to the textures is textures/ while the folder is named Textures/. Please check case consistency, for those of us that use other OS'es than Win*.
Thanks for your hard and beautiful work :).

OK: I fixed 3 bugs

1.- Thumbnail size, reported by Gijs
2.- Model capitalization issues, reported by i4dnf
3.- A missed property for frontal engine, in Vacuum indicator, self-reported

And no more bugs for today. I'm going to a party to get drunk :)

The Cessna 337 is the first aircraft in FlightGear with a working ELT (Emergency Location Transmitter). The ELT -if armed- will take the coordinates of the crashed plane, and show them in a standard chat message, requesting for Search-And-Rescue air services.

However, the plane still without being capable to crash... a JSBsim FDM issue :lol:
(i made the pic using the property tree)

So ironic... isn't?

Would be nice if FlightGear actually reported such issues... if possible...

Anyway, pushed the new version to Git. i4dnf, you know what to do next (won't ask :P).

I've just pulled the latest fgdata and I've found another problem with capitalization:
in Cessna337/Models/Instruments/Clock/clock.xml the reference to clock.ac should be Clock.ac

I've just used the aircraft and I have noticed another small problem. When I enable landing lights, they turn on but in the log window I see the message "Nasal runtime error: nil used in numeric context at /sim/bindings/gui/binding[4], line 2". BTW I don't know if it's related to the aircraft.

The aircraft looks really good and detailed. Thanks for your work! Can I reuse some parts as static dischargers and interior lamps on ceiling?

Aircraft updated

1.- Thumbnail size, reported by Gijs. New thumbnail 171x128, old thumbnail still with a new name.
2.- Model capitalization issues, reported by i4dnf
3.- Clock capitalization issues, changed at Cessna337-instruments.xml, Clock.ac, Clock.xml, reported by penta
3.- A missed property for frontal engine, in Vacuum indicator, self-reported
4.- Little message correction on ELT message ("testing ELT" text changed for "crashed" in the Nasal file), self-reported

Mmm... I don't get any nasal log on my computer. Maybe it was a temporal error, and will not appear anymore? Maybe isn't related to aircraft... :?

Thanks!Use anything freely, it's GPL. But they are air conditioner, not lights.

In fact, i'm thinking about do some little adaptations to instruments, to release a free pack. All instruments are based on real models, and in some xml you may find even the links to the factories websites: Edo-Aire, RC Allen, Alcor, Mid-Continent and Bendix/King. The avionics are all based on Bendix King models, really a re-model of generic ones; but the KMA24 Audio Panel, the KN62A DME and the KT76A Transponder still needing some more development.

Well, i just wrote Wiki articles with detailed information about aircraft and the ELT. I hope pilots will take advantage of them.

Hopefully something will be done via the FG simulation engine to model things like damages and landing surfaces in the next releases, not sure it's going to be in 2.6.. :?:

that's correct - but we need to better document this. The only place where I could this is: http://wiki.flightgear.org/Standard_aircraft_structure

Maybe we need to come up with something like "Best practices" or "conventions" for aircraft developers?

Hi....maintainers of the Cessna 337...

you spend the right time for an nice aircraft. I can only said Wow and yehaah.
The Cessna 337 Skymaster is an uncritical instrument for all newbees and expert users. I prefere small airplanes before I flight
with great passenger machines.
It´s fly smothy by the rudders. Landing per hand very easy. I had an takeoff in 2 minutes, so simple is the start of the engines. ILS no problems
but the APP has an bug. Instead landing per hand und you will finished the all your flights.

Thanks to the maintainer of this wonderful aircraft.

by the way, you see further the Cessna337 on mpmap :D

Downloaded the latest version from viveFG, but there's still an issue with the clock. I think you forgot to rename clock.xml to Clock.xml (note, in Windows you need to rename it to something different first, eg. Clocck.xml. Just changing a character to a capital doesn't work; Windows will fallback to the old filename after a refresh ;) )

Curious :? I fixed it before upload the new version; now I downloaded it, I checked it, and it's ok:

* Models/Cessna337-instruments.xml calls "Models/Instruments/Clock/Clock.xml"
* Models/Instruments/Clock/Clock.xml calls "Clock.ac"
* Clock.ac calls "Clock-base.png" and "Clock-tex.png"
* All the Clock's names are ok
