Sorry for the delay!
I did an extensive poll around my friends :D

We decided that "Lentäkää vapaasti" does NOT sound stupid. The first friend didn't like it more for personal reasons. So, it's the way to go for Finland.

That would be the Finnish livery (Finnish Rajavartiolaitos "Border guarding service"):

Some more...
"Daddy, buy me a joystick!" - "Iskä, osta mul joikkari!" (Really colloquial kid language)
"Bombable" - "pommitettava"

One request, if I may.
As the Huey's painting is rather generic and only determinable for experts if it's an RVL Huey, could you somehow have the Huey's nose with the RVL crest show up in one Banner?

Absolutely stunning!
I'm just afraid that the RVL lion is too prominent. There are 3 logos that you can never ever use in Finland: Police, RVL and Defence Forces. "Hidden usage" like if the logo is e.g. on the helo, is usually tolerated, but very prominent use gets you in really big trouble.
A couple of weeks ago some company got in trouble - the had a promotion car designed in the police colors, but without blue lights and the doors didn't say "Poliisi / Polis" but "Rosvo / Råsvo", which means "robber" in Finnish and Swedish. They got in trouble because even the color pattern and the font is protected...

Ooops. I would like to be inside ROSVO sport car but not inside de Poliisi one. I'd readed here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Rajav ... n_logo.svg that the logo is in the public domain. However if you think we can get problems I can change it.
Of course we prefer to live in freedom.

Hehe, I'd take the police car. Blue lights and siren beats horsepower, at least in an urban area :D.

Yeah, the logo is not copyrighted in the copyright sense, that's true.
But there are laws that explicitly forbid the usage of the logos of the law enforcement and military agencies for certain uses, including advertising and anything that creates the false impression that the user is somehow affiliated with the agency.
You can manufacture model Hueys (or flightsim Hueys) with the RVL logo on it and sell them without paying license fees. But you cannot use the logo in advertising or paint it on your car.
Those laws go so far that the company, I work for, cannot even make a note on their homepage if they won a bidding competition for an RVL contract because even the name "Rajavartiolaitos" is protected by this laws and cannot in any way be used for advertising.

I'm trying to find a good solution, however I did not reached it. :( Mainly because the front side of the UH doesn't look too nice due the grayish of the colours, also because vertical cut of the banner is too narrow to fit an horizontal object like the heli. If you want, please lets use another concept.

As much as I try the worst results I get.

Michat, I think, your banners are amazing and you are too critical with yourself! :)
However, what I wrote were just ideas! I didn't mean to dictate anything. You are the artist and I wouldn't dare to tell you what exactly to do because I'm sure that your results are best if you do as you see fit :).
If you don't mind, I would like to put the banners you made yet into the rotation because I would like to start to promote Flightgear lately from 010112 on. But of course, I will be more than happy to use whatever else you could provide.

Hi, sgofferj this is my approach. Because you have a Weather web page , we can join the idea with the FG virtual weather capabilities.

My idea is easy, just using some of our pretty FG clouds. :P

Hope you like it.

I love it :). Now there is quite some choices :). I'm thinking if I should maybe combine some banners into a gif animation or so...
But really, great work! I hope, the hits on Flightgear.org from Finland, Sweden and Estonia are spiking at the moment :D.

Happy that you like it. If you combine it into a Gif maybe the result could be too heavy when loading. Test it.

I hope you gain more visits with the banners.

Heh, a single weather chart display page loads about 2MB for the chart animation ^^. I think, a few K on the front page don't matter so much then :D. Well, I hope *flighgear* will get more visits through the banners. They all link to flightgear.org. :)
