If you want a quick solution open the MiG-21bis.xml file in /MiG-21bis/Models with Notepad, find and delete entire paragraphs of code containing "tyresmoke" (3 of them)... They're just for eyecandy:)

Thats news to me, but i very much doubt it as Somalia has no real government at the moment. Cheers i'll try that

New MiG-21bis upload contains Tyre Smoke effect and Gunsight power on/off fixes, Livery menu, Paintkit and enhanced Sound scheme... Package size is now over 5.3MB so I won't reupload it without any significant changes in content. Sounds are from http://www.soundboard.com, licensed as Public, not GPLv3. Enjoy. :)

Nice Jeff, enjoy flying in Somali colours. :)

I've been playing with new sound files, they're now reduced to mono and 16-bit. New original MiG interior and exterior engine sounds are added.
Sound XML is fixed to match flaps duration and fuel quantity, the engine sound stops after crashing to the ground. Plume and engine heat effects are also gone with crashing. New AI model is more complex than the old one. The package is now 5MB large.

Startup wheel break is now enabled by default. Paintkit file is removed to downsize the package. Fixed Croatian and Romanian AF liveries are now included.

Very nice of you to include those liveries. In our country, these aircraft were known as "lawn-darts", or "the plow", for the high rate of accidents. Many good pilots died in these. I had the opportunity to meet a former 21bis pilot and I have the utmost respect for those that had to fly them.

MiG-21 is made to fly low and fast.
Set of liveries is now completed, there are five of them included. Further development is concentrated to the new cockpit.

You can also add my Polish AF livery - it's "real deal" - the last, longest flyed MiG-21bis of Polish AF, retired in 2003. It's submitted in Liveries.

I've decided to clean up my old MiG-21bis 3D model from junk and n-gons, it's UV remaped and old liveries aren't compatible. New default livery is nicely progressing. I'll concentrate my work on fixing the animations, new weapons and cockpit/instruments. Download still isn't available but expect it in few days.

Hey Petar, I got a few questions.

What happened to the Russian livery? It was nice.
Also it's supposed to land at 140 kt. It needs more than that right now. Are flaps too weak?
And how do I fly mach 2?

Despite the questions it's one of my favorite aircraft.
