Yay, the montage'll still be there!

...The thing I'm worried about, though...
I'm practicing the IGS13 approach for the video, but there's barely any VFR landmarks to use, and Checkerboard Hill's impossible to see...

Is there a model for it at all, or are we pilots next to screwed here?
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Despite having over 1700 posts here, I am not even close to being the most skilled guy here... I'm just words and bad drawing, not experience. :P

You could perhaps get the real life co-ordinates for it, then place an object there in Flightgear with the UFO.

Sorry, I meant the model and hill itself, too. ...but I guess I could try to find an alternate way...

EDIT: Does the submission have to record the entire approach, or can we just do the final approach/landing (the part from above Chep Lap Kok to touchdown)?

If just the final approach is fine, here's my first (and uninteresting) submission. Enjoy!

Hey Oscar,
If you don't have many ideas for your next challenge you should try and land some heavy aircraft at Paro, Bhutan.

Heres a video of the approach if you wanna see it.
Check it out guys.

But we kinda already DO have an idea for the next challenge, if you haven't noticed.. One that just started, too.

Seems like a hot and high approach! Even turning to the right just above where the checker board would be in real life.

Yes that's right. After i recorded this video, i searched youtube for some videos of the Kai Tak approaching planes, also i found an official Kai Tak RWY13 approach chart, and realised that the approach should be done more earlier ;)
Anyways it was a fun to try, cause last time i was flying arount VHXX (some year ago) i was never be able to land there :D

Okay, so you can use search engines, click - now lets go on to reading. Did you read the Wikipedia entry that was at the top of the search results?

Your question was "What's a Kai Tak 13 Approach?" that entry answered it - and hopefully taught you to use Google more.
