Skyop,

I assume that this model is remapped, so people will have to make all new liveries, and the old liveries will become out of date. Correct?

Muffinman

BTW, both models look REALLY good. The new 900 is, in my opinion, way better than the old one. Not that the old one was bad or anything.

Correct. The new paintkit makes it VERY worthwhile anyway.

Is the new CRJ-900 compatible with FG 2 Because Fg says initializing subsystems it quits mysteriously.

I am getting the same thing. The terminal says something about the TCAS. I do not remember exactly what it said. If you want, I can start it back up and get the specifics.

@Boeing: I think we are having these problems because we have the development version.

Right, the TCAS is an instrument that is only in Git, so FG 2.0.0 is unable to load it. You two will just have to wait until I make the *official* release. Sorry.

I have a life, I can't work on this thing 24/7...

Beginning work in the Engine Instrumentation and Crew Alert System- erm, EICAS. :)

Image

Page 1 is mostly complete- I just need to add the fuel quantity indicators. Page 2 (on the right) not started yet.

EICAS, page 2, is complete now. I also finished the standby instrument:

I am now working on the panels and cockpit details. I have to rush to finish all of this before June 17, the big FG 2.4.0 feature freeze.

Boeing - other people have complained about your behaviour already, and I understand why. Frankly, I'm sick and tired of your behaviour on this forum. You seem to be completely unable to control yourself. You blurt out every little question that files into your mind without bothering to search for the answer, or at least that seems to be the case.

For example:
Dose[sic] any one know where to get the Piper PA-18?

Use your brain. You want to find something; it's on the internet - what do you use? Do you just make a forum topic *SPECIALLY* for asking that one question straight off the bat? No! Do you ask on another forum topic? No!

You use Google, Ask, AOL, or any other half-decent search engine - like most literate people armed with a keyboard and an internet connection do when they want to find something.

The same goes for any other little question that's unlucky enough to find itself in your mind - you use a search engine, and then ask here if that fails.

Of course, this all must be a relatively novel concept for you - doing something for yourself and all that, so I'll leave you a little tutorial.

First, (we'll use Google as an example) go to http://www.google.com. Then, type in what you're looking for. So, for the Piper Pa-18, you should type in :
Code: Select all
Pa-18 FlightGear

Now, this should get you a list of results. If the 1st one isn't what you want, keep calm and carry on looking at results.

In this case, the result you want is the 4th from the top, the link to helijah's hangar. (helijah.free.fr) Here, you'll be faced with a list of aircraft - a very long list.

Now you're probably horrified by the sheer length of the list, but fear not. Since you're a Mac user, like me, you can press Command+f. A little bar or window (depends on browser) should pop up. Into this, type a part of the name, like 18, or Piper, or pa. This should get you to the Pa-18 (or any other Piper aircraft on the page as well). The rest is straightforward. Download the tar.gz, and go through the usual, nice, easy procedure to install add-ons like scenery or aircraft.

PS - Sorry for cluttering the thread a bit, Skyop.

Tom, it's hard to be mad at you when you made the stunning background image for the OHP. ;)
