Yes, we understand you are a non-English speaker. In fact, there are quite a few of those on the forums. However, that does not mean you are somehow exempt from doing the research and reading that we expect everyone here to do. Thank you.

Don't worry tomcat, even native English speakers get it wrong sometimes, its a complicated language.
This is the amazing thing about FG, if you want something in the scenery that improves it for the whole community then, the community will allow it to be added to the online scenery, which is then download-able by TerraSync and everyone is happy, you will then have taken your first step to improving the Flightgear world for everyone.

The Flightgear Wiki will pretty much tell you most things you need to know, its mainly in English, but there are attempts to translate it all. [wiki]Main Page[/wiki]

They are already completed (a few updates in Terrasync, waiting for some kind soul to put them in the main fgdata). Search the wiki for "animated jetways."

I have a question. Some airports that are modeled in FG have custom jetways, for instance TNCM and EETN. Could their jetways be animated as well? Here`s an example of custom jetways.

Short answer: No.

I find animating these custom jetways pointless anyway, since the model I adapted is more detailed and accurate. But, making your own animated jetway models is possible- it just involves some limits. The animated jetway wiki article has information on this process.

Are all the jet ways at KLAS animated?

The wiki article explains how to check which ones are animated.

Isn't this kinda disputable, since some airports employ glass jetways, (i.e. -EETN, RKSI and YPAD), jetways with special textures (i.e. -RJFM and EGLL) or jetways with special structures (i.e. -EDDF)?
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Despite having over 1700 posts here, I am not even close to being the most skilled guy here... I'm just words and bad drawing, not experience. :P

You're right Andy, but generally, most jetways are of the classic corrugated metal design. Glass jetways are certainly possible though.

Updated versions pushed to TerraSync: http://code.google.com/p/terrascenery/s ... ovable.xml

The system has been pretty much redone; I will update the wiki documentation shortly.

I have really great news and some really bad news...

First, through a series of workarounds, I have devised a system that will allow each and every jetway to operate independently, just like FSX/X-plane.
As a result, we now have jetways that will dynamically sense the position of the aircraft and connect to it regardless of where you park, just like FSX/X-plane.
Also, we have far more flexibility with the jetways themselves. Here's a peek at the new code involved to give you an idea:
Code: Select all
        <jetway>
                <type>generic</type>
                <id>A1</id>
                <airline>FGFS</airline>
                <latitude-deg>37.6142832</latitude-deg>
                <longitude-deg>-122.35928025</longitude-deg>
                <elevation-ft>-0.0890</elevation-ft>
                <heading-deg>62.4</heading-deg>
                <initial-position>
                        <jetway-extension-m>0</jetway-extension-m>
                        <jetway-heading-deg>0</jetway-heading-deg>
                        <jetway-pitch-deg>0</jetway-pitch-deg>
                        <entrance-heading-deg>0</entrance-heading-deg>
                </initial-position>
        </jetway>

The bad news is that A) All airports that are currently animated-jetway compatible will need to be redone, and B) Same goes for the aircraft.

If you can help with the directions to implementing the system on the airplane currently (some sort of offset from center of aircraft?) it shouldn't be hard for the changes to be made.
