I'm currently working on some engine sounds and stumbled across some questions I couldn't find answers for. First off I looked at a sound.xml file similar to the one of the b52.
Quite self explanatory but 2 questions arise:
1.)Where is the origin/direction of the sounds played since there is no position/orientation specified in the file?
2.)What means factor and offset here? Offset direction?
<pitch>
<property>/engines/engine[0]/n2</property>
<factor>0.010</factor>
<offset>0.15</offset>
</pitch>
The second sound file is the one of the f16 and has major differences:
There more variables available but how are they applied (is x/y/z a position or a directional vector?) and how/where is inner-/outer-cone applied (units?)?
