Support input output functions.

Hi those who are making the awesome FlightGear product :)

I wonder if you can make the product with input and output as a Software Developer Kit ?

Short answer - yes, we have a wide variety or I/O interfaces.

Please see the README.IO, README.Protocol, and The FlightGear Manual for details.

It's not an SDK, but it's very, very nearly as good (in some ways, better, as it is language-neutral).

FG has a very versatile and configurable generic TCP interface.

I checked it out, now I understood how it works. Soon, I will buy Arduino MEGA2560 board to make an cockpit panel. Now I must choose which airplane I want to make. Any suggestions ?

There are many aircraft :)
Maybe you have a "class" in mind? Something the size of a modern airliner? A single engine plane? Or maybe a glider?

It'll make it easier for us to point you at some nice possibilities...

And ofcourse you'll have to decide whether you want to create something "generic", that'll be able to simulate lots of aircraft (but it won't match the real deal for 100%), or do you really want to replicate a certain cockpit?

If you're going to do this with an arduino, I'd suggest a single-engine, fixed gear light aircraft. MUCH simpler than any multiengine aircraft.

Try the c172p. Though it doesn't seem to stall quite right, it's missing electrical switches (e.g., master/alt), and the engine seems a bit too powerful, it's really quite close to reality.

Another possibility is a de Haviland Beaver.

I want the Tu-154B or Il-62M or Il-86

Maybe it is too complicated, what do you think ?

Really all depends on you...your experience, ability, budget, goals, etc.

OK. I will thinking about how to interface this Arduino board... I looked at the IDE program... I think it is not so difficult as I think. I need two different machines.
