Oh.. alright, thanks.
Sorry, I didn't check the 744 Devel stuff.
Look for "B-BIRD" "N127KY" or "AVA0004" -that's me.

Despite having over 1700 posts here, I am not even close to being the most skilled guy here... I'm just words and bad drawing, not experience. :P

Hi,

I have to ask all of you guys a big favor..

I'm new here and I noticed that you got some beautiful Boeing 747-400 models in this post..

Well, my problem is that I need to make a Boeing 747-400 in Catia V5 (CAD Drawing) for my project in my university (I study aeronautical engineering) and that's pretty hard to do. Does anyone around here happen to have such Catia V5 Drawing from a Boeing 747-400 so that it could guide me to make my own drawing or could someone please help me out?

Where did you guys get the Boeing 747-400 model for the liveries?

I appreciate all the answers and all those who want to help me out.

Hi Demis,

the new model for the 747-400 is available from http://code.google.com/p/flightgear747- ... loads/list. It is still being developed, so don't expect a finished model ;)
The model is in .ac format (and split up in a couple of submodels (747-400_wings.ac, 747-400_fuselage.ac etc.), all found in the 747-400/Models/ directory), so if you are able to convert that to the CAD format you'll be fine. This might need an extra conversion step (eg. from .ac to .3ds to CAD), but I'm not into CAD, so I cannot give you much help on that.

Please contact me if you have questions about the model. I'd love to send you a .blend file or whatever you need.
I'm also interested in knowing what you will do with the model, since I will start my AE study next year! :D

Cheers,
Gijs (744 author)

I've finally had time to install GIT and work on the 744 Singapore Airlines livery of the crashed (see link) 9V-SPK plane.

Because this plane crashed in 2000, there are not many good quality photos. Most of them are scanned film photos, which does not help in quality and colors :(

The liveries that come up are the KLM and Boeing liveries! How can I fix it?
