Hello everybody,

here is a new snapshot of the eurofighter. It features improved texture, a HUD and selectable external stores. These don't do much more than looking dangerous and making the aircraft heavy, but it is interesting to take off with different loads (feels like an airliner sometimes .-)

get it from here:

Hi Detlef.

:D :D :D :D :D
Excellent work, you certainly are getting along with it. I'm very pleased you chose to take up the Eurofighter from my initial model. You will certainly make it more realistic thn i could have.

I realise its a snapshot, but i had a problem with the landing gear, The main gear goes up fine but the front refuses to, (ps would be a great failure in flight lol)

Image

and i get constant landing gear retraction noise.

if these havent been done yet, then disregard the above.

Ps how do i select the weapons stores?

pps

great website by the way

Hi Alex,

this is strange, works perfectly over here. You shouldn't see the pylons without stores too.
Stores should be selectable via "Equipment" and "Fuel and Payload" menu.

I will try to resolve this, but I need to install a FlightGear 1.0 somewhere for testing. Tell me if the stores are working for you.

Greetings

alright, ive tested it some more. On cvs, I get some kind of clicking sound when I change the airilon. It is worse with my joystick or mouse than the arrow keys. When I do it with arrow keys, its the same click, but a longer sound afterwards. Sounds like the gear, but it's not the gear. And it isnt the same sound as the gear, just sounds a bit like it. Gets annoying after a while. The gear sound, however, is very realistic ^_^ nice work. The flaps don't work yet (with keys ] and [)

Hi xsaint,

there is no dead link problem here. The expired file you quoted is a first version of the Model which I needed to do the FDM work and adjust the model. It is of no interest for the average user.

Alex kindly agreed to put the Aircraft in CVS, so the development is done there and all my contributions to the Typhoon will go there too.
The eurofighter.zip file hosted on my website is one that works with FlightGear 1.0 as the CVS Version doesn't. It is there for convenience for the 1.0 Users, and will disappear once the next Release happens and the Aircraft is included on the Flightgear.org Download Page.

Of course I won't prevent you from mirroring it or providing a link to it.

Greetings

Hi guys,

here is another snapshot of the Eurofighter. Now with Cockpit improvements and the Harriers Navigation and Radar Systems. Selectable Liveries and Liveries over MP. Get it here:

http://sol2500.net/flightgear

To use Liveries over MP get the eurofighter-ai.zip file and unzip it to your data/AI/Aircraft folder.

Can someone make that flame-like thing at the engines for the Eurofighter? (I don't know what those flame-like things are called.. Are they called contrails?)
Image
Those two, cool, nice, yellow flame-like 'rings' at the engines...

And also, can someone model FX-effects for afterburner flying with the Eurofighter as well?

Cheers,
QiYun

EDIT: Oh and before I forget,, there're some problems with the Eurofighter...
