I'm back in the game, slow, but progressing.

If you are interested in supporting/ helping me out, that would be great. Hope some of you guys out there are interested in this model. If not, doesn't matter, it'll be a good project just for fun.

Great plaine for start! Looks good...
Tip: If you're going to use Subdivision try to put some edge loops near the ends that you don't want to be smoothed.

Looks nice. It is similar to the SR-22 right?

I just set subsurf to fake how smooth it is. In actuality, it's very polygonish. Anyways, I started over many many times and found a good technique for myself. However, silly me, I forgot to save the file, actually I clicked NEW and everything vanished. No worries, with every practice I get, the more hope I have that the final model will look sweet. My main concern at the moment is the interior since the instrument panel is all digital. I know how to model the interior, just don't know how to program the instrument part...

I'll try to get a finalized outer shell by the end of this weekend.

Absolutely lovely model! Great to see it being produced. Will it have a full set of Avionics? would make a great little cruiser.

If I can be of any help with sounds then please let me know, more than happy to lend a hand with anything I can.

All the best,

Alex

After a BSOD during my modelling, and after several more attempts, I have a better model, to be precise, more accurate, with less polygons and no subsurfing. Still gotta ways to go, but if I put in several hours each week, I'll have it done by the end of the summer, hopefully (cross my fingers). Regarding sound, I have no clue to what it really sounds like from within the cabin. Nor do I have any accurate info on how it sounds Hi-def, since all the videos I see have too much wind and background static. If you have access or contact who flies this baby, or something similar to it, get some recordings of it pls! ^^ That would totally rock dude~ *EDIT seeming how the SF50 is on the market yet, let me rephrase what I just said, if you know anyone working for the company...break their arm and force him or her to give you every single details of the plane.

Regarding the interior, I have no idea how to setup the PFD. I'll have to look into it in depth and see if anyone out there will be willing to do some script work and create the textures and stuff. From videos, the PFD seems great, but I haven't seen such thing in FG yet so I am not sure if anyone out there knows how to. It would be great to some how incorporate the Atlas FG function in the PFD as well as display the airport layout. I know in some planes, you can load the airport layout in one of the cockpit panels. That's pretty cool.

It is very similar to the SR22...j/k. It actually uses a small turbine engine and cruises around 300kts. It is marketed as the "slowest, lowest, cheapest jet available". The interior is very well done, it's suppose to be the equivalent as the interior of...let's say Bugatti Veyron, but a little cheaper than the Bugatti of course. Should be interesting to model...

wiki Cirrus vision SF50 and you'll get the idea and what I am challenging.

There's an SR-20 in GIT which is a very nice model, should only take someone with the time about a day or so to bring it up to scratch using parts from other models.

Someone should animate it, panel it, sound it etc...
It was only modelled (no anim. / sound etc.) and has a terrible FDM.
Active again! Sometimes... // BRASIL

So, I've restarted to model this plane from scratch, learning slowly how to use Blender. I'm looking for someone who might be interested in creating the PFD. Any takers? :D

Things I am working on are precise window frames, gears, interior,....shucks, just about everything. I have created the shell, that's a start guess. :P

Swweeeee.....tttttTTTT!!

Just tested out the zkv1000 pfd and mfd and they are a thing of beauty. They work really well and I'll definitely install them on the SF50.

So, I more or less finished the exterior shell of the plane. Here are pictures, the plane is untextured at the moment.

Gonna model the gears and windows next followed by the interior.
