THANKS
Thanks for sidi762 and wkitty42 that made it possible.

P.S. How to get it working
Tried another platform: PostImage
Ended up with a url ending with .jpg

Wellcome to the FlightGear forum, Marsdolphin, and thank you for the participation in this contest. I'm glad that you have finally managed to upload your screenshot to the forum. But, please, convert your image from .png to .jpg, as it mentioned in the set of rules, and update your post to provide the link to the converted image. .jpg images have much lower file size than .png. So it will be more convenient for users who don't have very fast Internet to upload pages, which have only .jpg images instead of .png.

Anyone help me though, because the PostImage I used automatically converts jpg to png, it is jpg on my desktop
I'll try again
But could I upload as png with a smaller file size?

Sorry about that.

Best regards,
Marsdolphin

Thank you for providing .jpg image. It's not my own whim, tha administration of the forum insists on using this file format, instead of .png, for better convenience of the most users.

However, the .png variant of your image looks much better than .jpg. If you use proper settings during converting, you cant's see the difference between original .png file and converted .jpg. Personally I use program called "GIMP" for this purpose. There standard parameters of exporting to .jpg gives exactly the result I need: much smaller size and pretty the same quality of the image.

If you have problems with uploading your images to PostImage, you may try to use Imgur (https://imgur.com ) instead. I use this platform for my screenshots and have no problems. It allows me to download my pictures, preserving the original resolution and format (both .jpg and .png) of each file.

Also you have an opportunity to edit each of your posts on the forum as many times as you need. So, for example, if you need to change your image from .png to .jpg, you don't need to post it on the forum again. You can just update your previous post and there change the image link to the new one. I think it would be much more convenient both for you and other users.
