Submit your screenshot for the SOTM of January 2020

Postby Anarcho-pilot » Sat Jan 04, 2020 12:44 am

Hello everyone!

Now's your chance to submit your candidate for January's FlightGear SOTM contest!

Participation Rules
1. 20 entries (because a poll can only have 20 options).
2. Only one entry per person to give everyone a fair chance of submitting a screenshot.
3. You may enter one extra for somebody else. This person of course can submit their own candidate.
4. If you submit a screenshot of another person, please make sure he/she grants you the right to publish it under the correct license.
5. Please convert your picture from png to jpg (plenty of converters online).
6. Must be taken with FlightGear.
7. Every picture should have a caption. Please limit yourself to about five words.
8. Please add the name of the aircraft and the location where the screenshot was taken to your entry (not necessarily to be mentioned in the caption).
9. Screenshots must not be post-processed except from cropping and/or resizing (but you may use the in-sim ALS filters).
10. You may change your entry as often as you want, until the voting starts.
11. You agree to license your screenshot under the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license for publication by the FlightGear project.
12. You agree that the screenshot may be used to promote the FlightGear project, including publication on the flightsim.com forum with proper attribution according to the CC-BY-SA 4.0 license.

Voting will start when 20 entries are reached or at the latest on January 25th, in a separate topic.

Best wishes - Anarcho-pilot.

I think the GPU isn't the source of wrong textures. Your trees are rendered with the canvas from stand-by ADI.
Combine the trees and you see '1013/29.92' with brown above the numbers with white bars.
Thats the texture (canvas) that the stand-by ADI uses.
For me it looks canvas write in the wrong memory segment.

PS: maybe this has to do with the random segfaults in FG???

this also looks like the stone clouds that someone saw the other day when testing some new custom scenery...
"You get more air close to the ground," said Angalo. "I read that in a book. You get lots of air low down, and not much when you go up."
"Why not?" said Gurder.
"Dunno. It's frightened of heights, I guess."
