That's the next branch and a pull/compile from yesterday. The entire setup was done from the launcher or UI only and I don't know which "under the hood" settings are possible.
The 6900XT is AMD's answer to the RTX 3090 (NVIDIA's fastest card) [
2] , and is overkill by around 4x-6x+ for FG at 1080p (at something less than 60 FPS) which needs around a rating of 3000 (maybe a bit higher for supresampling transparency AA or trees at ultra) - it can probably handle 5k+ with ease - the GPU side of FG rendering (ALS) is massively optimised. FG's high-ish settings GPU requirements are mostly around min settings requirements for other sims - IIRC X-P used to need a GTX 1050 at min settings before switching to vulkan, and the new MS sim needs a 1050 min - and since these are min settings they look terrible.
I didn't buy that GPU for FG and even for XP11, it's overkill as at some point, the (mostly) single-threaded architecture limits the attainable FPS. AMD's saving grace is the excellent open source OpenGL driver on Linux as the Windows one is too slow to be competitive and Vulkan isn't an option for XP (and not much faster on Linux anyway) on AMD since third party plugins still render in OpenGL and the driver-level communication between Vulkan and OpenGL is still really buggy (on Linux).
Have not tried FS20, but I figure performance shouldn't be an issue.
